How does hair get thinner?
Hairs go through a growth cycle. In a balding or thinning scalp these processes still continue, even in the affected area, but the new hair is progressively thinner and thinner until it is colourless vellus hair.
There are 3 stages of the hair growth, the Anagen stage being the longest of the cycle where the active growth takes place. The longer the Anagen phase, the thicker and longer the hair will become.
It is universally agreed that men and women with male/female pattern baldness have increased levels of Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the scalp. DHT contributes to a shortening of the growth phase and a thinning of the hair.

How does Nanoguard work?
Nanoguard Root Defence works locally by lowering the levels of DHT in the scalp tissues by partially blocking 5-alpha reductase, which is an important enzyme involved in regulating the hair follicle. Modern anti-hair loss drugs work in the same way, that is blocking the conversion of Testosterone to DHT. But oral medicines like finasteride or Propecia (brand name) have been critisised heavily by many users because of the high incidense of side effects. Nanoguard doesn't have any of these side effects.
Special Ingredients :- Saw Palmetto Extract (inhibits 5-AR therefore DHT), Pygeum Africanum Extract (inhibits 5-AR therefore DHT), Urtica Diocia (established hair growth stimulant), Green Tea Extract (natural anti-androgen effect), Superoxide Dismutase (proven to inhibit hair loss), Zinc combined with Vitamin B6 (only this correct and expensive form of vitamin B6 has been proven to inhibit hair loss when combined with Zinc).
